Barbara Jean Hanna, 72, of De Soto died Nov. 18, 2022, at Baisch Nursing Center in De Soto. Mrs. Hanna was a supervisor and bus driver for Developmental Services of Jefferson County. She was a member of the Festus Church of the Nazarene. She loved spending time with family and friends and attending church services. Born Nov. 20, 1949, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Mary “June” (Brower) and William Ray Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Tony A. Hanna.
She is survived by a sister: Cathy (Gary) Uding of Festus; three brothers: William R. (Marilyn) Smith Jr. of Festus, D. Mark (Judy) Smith of Hillsboro and Paul G. (Barb) Smith of Festus; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Jeffrey N. Smith, Thomas E. Smith and Doug (Martha of Herculaneum survives) Smith.
A private celebration of life will be held later. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
