Barbara Elaine Hasty, 71, of Festus died July 26, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Hasty, who owned a consignment store on Festus Main Street, also worked in sales management and real estate sales. She enjoyed genealogy. Born Nov. 22, 1945, in Braggadocio, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Jordan) B. and Quiford G. Singleton.
Survivors include her husband: Jim Hasty of Festus; a son: Jim (Susan Greene) Hasty Jr. of Waukee, Iowa; two daughters: Tammie (Steven Dorris) Hasty of St. Peters and Rhonda (Gary) Fischer of Fenton; a brother: Glennis (Carol) Singleton of O’Fallon; two sisters: Patsey Singleton of Park Hills and Tricia Logan of Festus; two sisters-in-law: Katie Singleton of Hillsboro and Sandy Singleton of California; eight grandchildren: Alexandra Frame, Jacob Larson, Lauren Fischer, Emily Fischer, Taylor Hasty, Brooke Hasty, Jordan Hasty and Grace Hasty; and a great-granddaughter, Dakota Frame.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth Singleton and David Singleton.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday (July 27) at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., Festus, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday (July 28), officiated by Pastor Loy McCarty. Burial will be in PeacefulRidgeCemetery in De Soto.
