Ayleen Smith, 89, of Fenton died May 6, 2022, in St. Louis. Mrs. Smith was a teacher at Fox Elementary School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Arnold. Born May 9, 1932, in Piggott, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Goldie (Weeks) and Charlie Walker.
She was preceded in death by her husband: J. Clifford Smith.
She is survived by three children: Stephen (Judy) Smith of Fenton, Cheryl (Mary) Hemme of Columbia and Mark (Lisa) Smith of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; seven grandchildren: Jennifer, Stephanie, Stephen, Charles, Abigail, Jared and Sarah; four great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Beckett, Juliet and Brinley.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, May 13, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Burial will be at the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Ark. Memorials may be made to Focus on Missions, 3040 Crimson Oaks Drive, in Fenton. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
