Austin Michael Wilson, 20, of Festus died June 22, 2019, in St. Charles. Mr. Wilson was a delivery driver for Papa John’s Pizza in St. Charles. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School and attended Jefferson College. He was a member of Our Lady Church in Festus and enjoyed traveling, attending music festivals, the ocean and spending time with friends. He was a member of the Dancing Bear Tribe who performed at many festivals throughout the country. Born Aug. 25, 1998, in St. Peters, he was the son of Neena Marie (Wilson) Werkmann of Festus.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister: Isabella Werkmann of Festus; his grandmother: Delores (the late Larry) Wilson of Crystal City; an uncle: Patrick Wilson of Crystal City; an aunt: Holly (Chad) Shelby of Crystal City; two cousins: Blake and Brooke Shelby of Crystal City; and his girlfriend: Jessie Grace of St. Charles.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Our Lady Church in Festus, officiated by Father Gregory Klump. Burial is in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
