Arnette A. McKay, 92, of St. Louis died April 29, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield. Mrs. McKay was an assistant manager at a senior citizen center. Born Feb. 18, 1923, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Louise R. (Zink) and Julian Russell Ament. She was preceded in death by her husband: Andrew McKay.
She is survived by five children: Russell (Christine Herpers) McKay, Kathleen (Michael) Palazzolo, Linda (Noel) Heine, Jeanne (Bob Picard) Kenuam and Pat (Jack) Thompson; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She also was like a mother to Tom Cunningham, who survives.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Mildred Leitendorfers.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 4, at the chapel. Burial is in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
