Anna Lee Richards, 87, of De Soto died Nov. 18, 2020. Ms. Richards had worked at OI Plastics in St. Louis and attended several different Baptist and Methodist churches. She was an active volunteer with the American Legion, the Amvets and the VFW, and was a volunteer “Pink Lady” at the former Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City. She was born Aug. 3, 1933, in Potosi, the daughter of the late Everett and Rose (Essmyer) Richards.
She is survived by five sons: David Jackson of De Soto, Gary Jackson of St. Francois County, Ronnie (Dena) Jackson of St. Louis, Michael (Diane) Duerr of Clayton and John (Melissa) Duerr of Arnold; three daughters: Carla Jean Beauchamp of De Soto, Diane Jackson of Festus and Sherry Jackson of Festus; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Ms. Richards was a caring person who kept others in her thoughts, always looking for the best in people. Her family was her pride and joy.
