Ann Marie Leamer, 68, of Festus died March 28, 2019, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Leamer was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Festus. She graduated from Covent College in Chattanooga, Tenn. with a bachelor’s degree in arts, then went on to graduate with a master’s degree in education from Glassboro (N.J.) State College. She taught in the Festus R-6 School District with a focus on special needs classes, then was a cashier at the Festus Shop ’n Save for 25 years before her retirement. She enjoyed computer work and spending time with her family and friends. Born Dec. 31, 1950, in Millville, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Vera (Doughtui) and William Jerrell.
She is survived by a son: Charles Leamer of Sidney, Mont.; a daughter: Debbie (Dale) Whitson of Festus; a brother: Glen (Kathie) Jerrell of Knoxville, Tenn.; four grandchildren: Kaleb, Kelsey, Hayley and Samantha; and numerous family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother: William “Jerry” Jerrell; and a sister: Renee Maynard.
Services were private. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
