Anita Fischer, 90, of De Soto died Aug. 15, 2014, in De Soto. Mrs. Fischer was a homemaker. She was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Goldman, the daughter of the late Fred and Katherine (Geitz) Vogt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Fischer.
She is survived by six sons: Robert (Karen) Fischer, Herbert (Sharon) Fischer, Albert (Helen) Fischer, Norbert (Christine) Fischer, Lebert (Becky) Fischer, Bert (fiance Nancy) Fischer; five daughters: Irma (the late Bob Blackmon) Martinez, Alice (Bill) Hillis, Ellen Simmons, Linda (John) Naes and Donna (Rick) Dunn; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, including Shirley Koerner; and a daughter-in-law: Noel Fischer.
She was preceded in death by a son: Gilbert Fred Fischer; five brothers: William, Ted, Glenn, Hilliard and Vernon Vogt; a sister: Ethel Kleinschmidt; a daughter: Juanita (George) Corley; a grandson: Bobby Jo Laird; three great-great-grandsons: Steven Laird, William Hanglang and Gideon O’Neal; and a great-great-granddaughter: Grace Kramer.
Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Aug. 19, at the First Baptist Church of Arnold, 2012 Missouri State Road, with Pastor Jeremy Muniz officiating.
Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart.
