Andrew Dean “Drew” Eggemeyer, 49, of Festus died Feb. 10, 2016, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Eggemeyer was an engineer with Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a life member of VFW Post 3777, American Legion Post 253 and Mississippi River Eagles in Crystal City. Born April 27, 1966, in Chester, Ill., he was the son of Susan (Springer) Giles of Long View, Texas, and the late Dennis Eggemeyer.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Sylvia (Glenn) Eggemeyer; a son: Leo Clements of Minot, N.D.; a daughter: Elizabeth (Jacob) Naumann of Columbia, Ill.; two brothers: Curtis (Lacey) Eggemeyer and Dustin (Kale) Eggemeyer; and two grandchildren: Sylas and Lorelei Naumann.
A memorial gathering is scheduled for 11 a.m. and a memorial service for 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus, officiated by Pastor Kyle Castens. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Jacksonville, FL 32256; or to the American Cancer Society, 4207 Lindell Blvd, St Louis, MO 63108. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
