Amanda J. Oaks, 38, of Hillsboro died April 20, 2018, in Hillsboro. Ms. Oaks was an assistant manager at a restaurant. Born July 17, 1979, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Deborah (Ackfeld) Oaks of De Soto and David (Carmen Kurtzman) Oaks of Festus.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son: Landon David Oaks of De Soto; two brothers: Daniel Oaks of De Soto and Travis (Jayne) Oaks of Arcola, Ill; and two grandparents: Richard (the late Sharon) Ackfeld of St. Louis and Gloria (the late Joseph) Oaks of St. Charles.
She was preceded in death by a brother: David Daniel Oaks.
Private services were officiated by Larry Dean. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
