Alvin Joseph Wittu Jr., 59, of Imperial died Dec. 13, 2019, in Imperial.Mr. Wittu was a carpenter and member of Carpenters Union Local 2214. He was born Jan. 25, 1960, in St. Louis, the son of Sue (Blackwood) Wittu and the late Alvin Wittu Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Sherry (Pursifull) Wittu; four children: Jeannie Wittu, Joseph (Samantha Hamel) Wittu, Joshua Wittu and Jeremie (Hilary) Wittu; six grandchildren: Haley, Curtis, Lexi, Atlas, Sylas and Joseph; four siblings: Cathy (Raymond) Neel, Glenda Murray, Judy (Jason) Christian and Michael (Anjie) Wittu; and several nieces and nephews, siblings-in-law, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Sheri Wittu.
Visitation is at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
