Alta Ethel “Jo” Medley, 96, of Festus died Feb. 14, 2015, at Baisch Nursing Center in De Soto. Mrs. Medley was a member of Charter Baptist Church in De Soto. Born Feb. 27, 1918, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Lena (Geiler) and Alden Harry Vineyard. She was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Martin Medley.
She is survived by two sisters: Mary Alice (the late Darrell) Byers of Festus and Evelyn Marie (the late James) Murphy of Festus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Stella Christine Crutcher and Hazel DeClue; and a brother: Dennis Leroy Vineyard.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. Burial is in Charter Memorial Gardens Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Charter Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
