Alec S. Fister, 27, of Barnhart died Jan. 12, 2022, in St. Louis. Mr. Fister was a financial adviser and a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity at William Jewell College. Born March 22, 1994, in Fort Carson, Colo., he was the son of Samantha (Michael) Spaeth of Braselton, Ga., and Bob Fister of De Soto.
He is survived by a sister: Bailey Fister (Alex Hoese) of St. Louis; four uncles and aunts: Eric (Becky) Fister, Adam (Stacey) Fister; Mike (Marion) Verplancke Jr. and Danny (Caitlin) Verplancke; his grandparents: Mike and Chris Verplancke; and numerous family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother: Nancy Shipley; an aunt: Shannon Oldham; and an uncle: Rob Oldham.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4092 Blow St., St. Louis, officiated by the Rev. Aaron Nord.
