Albert L. “Pappy” Craig, 77, of De Soto died June 29, 2018, at his home. Mr. Craig was a retired forklift operator for the Doe Run Co. and was a member of Teamsters Union Local 688. Born April 1, 1941, in Valles Mines, he was the son of the late Daisy (Kobel) and Archie Craig.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Barbara Sue (Washburn) Craig; a son: Paul Lee (Kim) Craig of Danville, Ky.; a sister: Cathy (Rogers) Jarvis of Park Hills; five grandchildren: Mike (Heather), Eric (Jessica), Kyle, Andrew and Emily; and four great-grandchildren: Ethan, Alex, Matthew and Abigail.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Floyd Craig, Roy Craig and Ralph Craig; and a sister: Grace Wyley.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 2, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, followed immediately by funeral services officiated by Chaplain Cody Alley. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the De Soto Food Pantry, P.O. Box 552, De Soto MO 63020, or Mercy Hospital Jefferson Hospice, 5 Industrial Drive, Festus MO 63028.
