If it’s the Lenten season, fish are being fried on Fridays, from Arnold to De Soto, from Eureka to Festus.
Several area churches and fraternal organizations hold fish fries every Friday during Lent, with some offering extras such as shrimp. For those who don’t like fish, some locations have an option of pizza or grilled cheese sandwiches.
Here’s an alphabetical list of locations that have told the Leader that they are holding fish fries. Some hold their events through Good Friday, April 14, while others stop serving the week before. Check with the location for its schedule.
