If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit, you might want to take in one of the Christmas parades scheduled on Saturday evening. There will be one in Hillsboro and another in House Springs.
Hillsboro
The Hillsboro Christmas Parade will begin at 5 p.m. near the Hillsboro Intermediate School, 10478 Business 21, and ends near Hillsboro City Hall, 101 Main St.
Santa will be at City Hall both before and after the parade. Cookies and cocoa will be served at City Hall.
The parade is sponsored by the Greater Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce. Prizes will be awarded to the best entries in the parade. For more information call, the chamber at 636-789-4920.
House Springs
The House Springs Lions Christmas Parade will begin at 7 p.m. at Faith Community Church, 4824 Scottsdale Road, and will end at the House Springs Lions Club, 6482 Hwy. MM.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the hall after the parade. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Spectators are asked to bring canned goods or other nonperishable food items, which will be donated to local food pantries.
