Jefferson College electronic recycling day, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, April 22, at Adonis Recycling Center, 620 Horine Road, Suite No. 2, Festus. Drop off most electronic items for free; charges for TV sets: $50; for CRT computers: $20; for microwaves: $5. Info: mkeeney@jeffco.edu.
Festus Spring Clean Up, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at the city’s Public Works Building, 950 N. Fifth St. Festus residents only can drop off appliances, computers, stereos, water heaters, furnaces, furniture, junk for free. Electronics (anything with a cord) will be accepted, as will yard waste and regular recycling (like cardboard, paper and plastic). No hazardous materials, building materials or tires. Herculaneum citywide cleanup day, meet at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at Herculaneum City Park, 776 Joachim Ave. An event that looks a little past an individual homes, volunteers are sought to help pick up debris to improve the overall appearance of the city. Boy Scout donation drive in Arnold, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Fox Elementary School, 739 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold. Scouts will accept a number of items for Goodwill, including clothing, shoes, jewelry, books, games, sports equipment, housewares, collectables, domestics and electronics; no television sets. Tax receipts given for donations.
Seed and plant exchange, 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 22, at the Arnold Branch of the Jefferson County Library, 1701 Missouri State Road. Free. Get a start on your spring planting at this event. Bring extra bulbs, plants and seeds (decorative or edible). Knowledgeable gardeners will answer questions. No buying or selling; bag or pot and label all items with instructions. Call 636-296-5171.
