Walk for Miles and Kinsey

Seckman High School is holding a fundraising walk Saturday (March 18) to benefit the families of two area children who have cancer – Kinsey Siadek and Miles Woodward.

The public is invited to the walk, which will be from 9 a.m. to noon at the track at Seckman High, 2800 Seckman Road, in Imperial.

Participants are encouraged to get sponsors to give them donations for walking the track, with the proceeds to benefit the two families. Donations will be accepted at the event, too. In addition, there will be a silent auction, raffles and other family-friendly fundraising activities. School groups will have booths at the event offering fundraising activities.

All the money raised will go to the two families to help cover medical costs and other expenses, said one of the organizers, Seckman High special education teacher Andrea Patterson.

Kinsey, a senior at Seckman High School, is the daughter of Adam and Amanda Siadek of the Arnold area. She was diagnosed in January 2016 with osteosarcoma.

Miles is 3 years old and is the son of Seckman High family and consumer science teacher Tricia Woodward and her husband, Dylan Woodward, both of the Ste. Genevieve area. Miles was diagnosed in April 2016 with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
