If you’re a fan of “The King” – Elvis Presley – April Fool’s Day (Saturday, April 1) will be the day for you.
A pair of concerts will be held in the area that will be built around Presley tribute artists.
A benefit show for Our Savior Lutheran Church and School in Fenton will feature Joseph Hall, a finalist on the television show “America’s Got Talent.” It will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the school, 1500 San Simeon Way.
A silent auction will be held and concessions will be available.
Tickets are priced at $25 and $50 and are available online at newdirections.ludustickets.com, or by calling Theresa at 314-803-3255.
Proceeds from the concert will help update technology at the school.
A few miles to the east, another Elvis impersonator, Steve Davis, will headline a concert sponsored by the Jefferson County Veterans Park Committee.
At this show, “The King” will be joined by musical contemporaries Buddy Holly and Patsy Cline – or at least reasonable facsimiles of them.
Thomas Hickey will sing selections from the Holly catalogue and Shanna Fredrick will impersonate Cline.
The concert and dance will start at 7 p.m. and will be held at the Arnold Eagles, 1725 Jeffco Blvd.
Admission is $25 per person or $200 for a table of 10.
