This year’s Leader Wedding Fair has been postponed because of the continued high number of new COVID-19 cases in Jefferson County and the surrounding area.
The event will now be held Sunday, March 6, at the Quality Inn, 1200 W. Gannon Drive, in Festus.
The Leader is still looking for vendors to take part in the fair.
Originally the fair was slated for Sunday, Feb. 6, but was rescheduled due to the pandemic, Leader publisher Pam LaPlant said Monday.
“We are just concerned about the health risk to our community of bringing together a large number of people in one place,” LaPlant said. “We think it would be prudent to put it off until we feel more comfortable with the COVID situation.”
