The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of several weapons from a home in the 100 block of South Lake Drive east of Hillsboro. The theft happened between Oct. 31 and Nov. 6, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

It looked like the culprit got into the home through an unlocked door. Stolen items included two 9 mm handguns, a 12-guage shotgun, a 20-gauge shotgun, knives, ammunition and an air-soft gun. The Sheriff’s Office had no estimated value for the stolen items, the report said.

As of Nov. 16, the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no arrests, Sgt. Matthew Moore said. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
