1:50 p.m. UPDATE: A store spokesperson said the Twin City Walmart, 650 S. Truman Blvd., Crystal City, reopened around 1 p.m. today, Jan. 29, after having been closed in the morning due to a power outage.
The store spokesperson said she did not know when the power outage began.
An Ameren Missouri spokesperson said the store’s power was restored about noon.
The Ameren Missouri spokesperson at 10:50 a.m. reported that the problem was “an electrical issue at the Walmart store” and store management was working with an electrician to fix the issue. He said Ameren Missouri would monitor the situation and work with the store to restore its power when its electrical issue was resolved.
He said no other power outages had been reported to the utility company in the Festus-Crystal City area.
