Tomahawk Drive at Gary Road near Lone Dell Elementary School in the Arnold area reopened to traffic at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 31), says Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The road had been closed on Wednesday (Oct. 30), after US Cellular crews brought in two large cranes to repair a cell tower near the entrance to Lone Dell Elementary.
US Cellular inspected the tower on Tuesday (Oct. 29) and found it was leaning and needed repair.
Lone Dell Elementary students were relocated to Rickman Auditorium and the Fox C-6 Service Center for school on Thursday.
Fox School District students already had the day off today (Nov. 1) so teachers and other staff members could have professional development.
