Three JeffersonCounty residents recently scored big in Missouri Lottery pay-offs. Residents of Arnold, De Soto and Pevely took home prizes that totaled more than $600,000.

■ An Arnold man is one of two co-workers who shared a $1 million Powerball prize. Jerry Marcrum of Arnold, 60, and Dawn Cortes of Edwardsville, Ill., 48, were second-tier $1 million winners after a ticket they shared contained all five white-ball numbers drawn on Oct. 19.

The two have been pooling their money and playing Missouri Lottery games for as long as they’ve both worked at ROI Print Solutions in EarthCity. Marcrum discovered the win and called Cortes with the good news while she was on her vacation.

A father of three grown children and grandfather of three, Marcrum intends to use his half of his $500,000 windfall to also help his family with expenses.

Although Marcrum won’t use the prize money to retire, he said the prize will “make it a lot easier.”

“I’ll have most of my bills paid off,” he said.

■ Mark Crady, 58, of De Soto won $75,000 after he purchased a “St. Louis Rams” Scratchers ticket at Big Daddy Gas Mart, 3192 Flucom Road, in De Soto. Crady’s win was reported Oct. 28 by the Missouri Lottery.

■ Pevely resident Daniel Jackson won a $36,040 prize on a Missouri Lottery Club Keno ticket on Oct. 15 that will make his birthday a bit brighter. The soon-to-be 36-year-old bought the winning 6-spot ticket with Bulls-Eye at American Legion Goff-Moll Post, 2721 Collier Ave., in Brentwood. Jackson claimed his prize at the Lottery’s St. Louis office in late October.
