A Stifel branch office is under construction in the Festus Commerce and Business Center along I-55 in the southern end of the city.
The office is being built at 1305 Shapiro Drive, south of the existing KFC restaurant.
“We hope to be in our new office sometime in early December,” said Rita Mahn, a Stifel financial adviser and the branch manager. “However, with the recent challenges of obtaining certain building materials, that proposed target date could change.”
She said the Stifel branch currently operates out of temporary space on the second floor of the Bloomsdale Bank building, 100 Scenic Drive, in Herculaneum.
“The temporary office will close once we move to our new office on Shapiro Drive,” Mahn said.
Initially, the office will house five financial advisers: three with individual practices – John McAtee, senior vice president/investments; Pam Shulack Smith, first vice president/investments; and Marc Parson, vice president/investments); and two with the Mahn Wealth Management Group – Mahn, senior vice president; and Kyle Gowen, vice president/investments. Support staff also will work out of the office.
“The advisers and licensed support staff in our office have a combined licensed years of experience in our industry of over 135 years,” Mahn said. “We hope to add one to two additional advisers.
“We help our clients by advising them on the best opportunities to building and maintaining wealth to succeed financially. Our comprehensive advice includes creating financial plans and meeting with our clients periodically to ensure they stay on track.”
The new building will be just under 4,000 square feet. The company will lease the building from a private party, Mahn said.
“The Festus Commerce and Business Center is a very appealing location with easy highway access and visibility” she said. “Festus has not had a new business development like this in many years and we are excited to be a part of this beautiful expansion in our community.”
