A Moberly woman faces three felony charges after she allegedly stole a fully marked Randolph County Sheriff's Office patrol car and fled from law enforcement on Thursday. 

Alayna Mason, 20, faces two class D felonies, stealing a motor vehicle and stealing a firearm, and one class E felony, escaping custody while under arrest.

Mason was first detained Thursday during an investigation in Moberly. According to a probable cause statement, she stole the patrol car and fled from police after she was placed in the passenger seat of the vehicle and put in handcuffs.

At the time of the incident, there were multiple firearms inside the vehicle, according to the probable cause statement.

Law enforcement located Mason hiding inside a residence in damaged handcuffs shortly after her escape, according to the statement. She allegedly admitted to stealing the vehicle while in custody, according to the statement.

Mason is being held at the Randolph County Jail without bond. She has an arraignment set for 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Randolph County Courthouse, according to court records.
