COLUMBIA — Criminal charges against freshman JJ Bush have been dismissed, Boone County Prosecuting Attorney Roger Johnson confirmed to KOMU 8 News on Wednesday.
Bush was arrested Monday night after he allegedly fled from police on East Broadway, and was charged with a Class D felony and a Class B misdemeanor on Tuesday, according to court documents.
In an email to KOMU 8 News, Johnson says, "It was dismissed, but I expect something will be refiled."
Police say they estimated Bush's vehicle reached speeds of 80 mph on East Broadway between Trimble Road and Old 63. Police also say they pursued Bush's vehicle for more about 20 seconds before he came to a stop.
According to court documents, Bush was booked into the Boone County Jail early Tuesday, where he then bonded out of jail.
