An Eldon teen drowned in a swimming pool in Miller County Friday evening.
Originally, law enforcement responded to a 911 call for a missing teen, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol drowning report.
The 14-year-old boy was found at the bottom of the pool at a nearby residence after neighbors also called 911, according to the report.
He was pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital early Saturday morning and transported to Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home, according to the report.
Highway Patrol troopers were assisted by the Miller County Sheriff's Office, Rocky Mount Fire Protection District and Miller County Ambulance District.
Next of kin has been notified, according to the report.
