HUNTSVILLE — A Randolph County judge denied bond on Monday for two of the suspects charged in connection to the disappearance and death of Kayla Huff, a 16-year-old girl who went missing from Moberly in May. She was later found dead at Rudolf Bennitt Conservation Area, according to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.

Christopher Hull, 23, and Skyler Powell, 24, appeared in person and were denied bond at a Monday hearing. Hull is charged with first-degree kidnapping and tampering with evidence in a felony prosecution. Powell is charged with hindering the prosecution of a felony and is accused of hiding another suspect in the case.

A judge set a preliminary hearing for Hull for 1:30 p.m. on June 15. Powell's preliminary hearing was set for 3 p.m. on June 15. Their hearings will be held at the Randolph County Courthouse.

Hunter Ames, 19, also appeared in person on Monday for a counsel status hearing. A preliminary hearing date for Ames was not set due to scheduling conflicts but will be set by Friday. Ames is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping and tampering with evidence in a felony prosecution.

Around 10 supporters showed up at the hearings for the Huff family, but they were not available for comment. Some people wore matching shirts that read "Justice for Kayla Huff." 

Two other adults — 26-year-old Julian Mason and 20-year-old Alayna Mason — are also charged in connection to the case. Julian Mason is charged with first-degree kidnapping and tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution. Alayna Mason is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping.

Julian Mason has a bond review hearing set for 9 a.m. July 8. Alayna Mason's next court appearance is set for 10:30 a.m. on June 22, according to court records.

17-year-old was also arrested in connection to Huff's disappearance. The Randolph County Juvenile Office has declined to provide any information about the 17-year-old's case.
