Arnold Police are investigating the discovery of four credit card skimming devices found on gas pumps at the Phillips 66 gas station, 3910 Jeffco Blvd., Lt. Tom Leassner said.
A gas station employee reported finding the devices at 7:29 a.m. July 31. The employee checked the pumps after the station’s corporate office was alerted about unusual activity by a credit card provider, police reported.
The devices were found inside the pumps. Police suspect someone either pried open the pumps or had a key to gain access, the report said.
The skimming devices could have been hooked into the pumps for as long as 30 days, Leassner said.
Arnold Police kept three of the devices and turned one over to the Phillips 66 company to analyze. The case also was forwarded to the Missouri Information Analysis Center, Leassner said.
As of Aug. 7, no suspects had been identified, Leassner said.
