Rev up those brain cells, triviots – it’s almost time for Twin City Days Trivia!
After a year off due to the pandemic, the annual trivia contest returns on Thursday, Sept. 9, at Festus High School, 501 Westwind Drive. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the first set of questions launches at 7 p.m.
The event is organized by Leader Publications. Teams of up to eight players will answer questions in 10 categories, ranging from pop culture to music to sports to food and more.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.
Entry costs $10 per person, and advance registration is recommended.
Don’t have a whole team? Come anyway; we’ll add you to an existing team, or help you create a new one with other solo players.
Between rounds, there will be attendance prize giveaways, games like “heads or tails" and other fun activities.
Snacks like popcorn and pretzels will be provided. Soft drinks, water and candy will be sold by the Festus High School Band Boosters. Outside food and drinks are allowed, but alcohol and tobacco are prohibited.
Proceeds from the event will benefit CASA of Jefferson County, a program that provides support to children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned, including more than 700 Jefferson County children in foster care.
