The Seckman High School Band Parents group will host the second annual Jaguar Pride Marching Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the school, 2800 Seckman Road, Imperial.
It will begin at about 1:30 p.m. and end around 8 p.m.
Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students. Children 5 and younger may attend for free.
Eight high school marching bands will compete in the event, including Fox and Hillsboro high schools. The Seckman High marching band will perform, but only as an exhibition.
The Fox band is scheduled to perform at 2:45 p.m. and the Hillsboro band at 3 p.m. Seckman will take the field at about 7:30 p.m.
Preliminary awards will be at 4 p.m., and the final awards at 7:45 p.m.
Nearly 1,000 students will participate in the festival, said Seckman High band director Ben Middleton.
He said the bands first will compete in divisions for the preliminary awards and then again with all the other bands for the final awards.
