The Leader Musician of the Month for December is Katie Tobnick, a junior at Grandview High School who is involved with both choir and band.
She is a drum major with the marching band and plays the trumpet and euphonium. In the choir she sings soprano and recently made All-District Choir for the East Central 7 District.
Band director Sarah Falch said Katie is a talented musician.
“I love having her in class. She brightens up the ensemble and adds a lot of musicality to whatever she does,” Falch said.
Musicians of the Month receive a $20 gift certificate from Tower Music and a certificate of achievement. Both may be picked up at the store.
