Jefferson High holds first graduation

 

The Grandview High School Class of 2018 held its commencement ceremony May 13 in the high school gymnasium. The following members of the class earned scholarships and honors.

Elizabeth Louise Bross, cum laude, will attend Webster University and received Webster Blue Academic Scholarship.

Kelsey Rhiannon Clark, cum laude, will attend Missouri State University and received Missouri State University Promise Scholarship.

Amanda Jane Dickhens, summa cum laude, will attend Jefferson College and received Jefferson College President’s Scholarship Tuition.

Amber Ann Duncan, magna cum laude, will attend Jefferson College and received Grandview G.H.S. Scholarship.

Melina Danielle Eaker, summa cum laude, will attend Murray State University and received Grandview Eagle Pride Scholarship, Murray State University Doris S. Dudley Scholarship Endowment, Murray State University Hope, Endeavor, and Achievement Based Scholarship and Murray State University-University Scholarship.

Meaghan Lena Faust, will attend Central Methodist University and received Central Methodist Trustee softball scholarship and Community Service Scholarship.

Kathryn Mary Grimm enlisted in the Air Force.

Thomas John Hahn, magna cum laude, will attend Jefferson College and received Grandview Athletic Boosters Club Scholarship.

Samantha Ann Harris, cum laude, will attend Truman State University and received Truman State University Competitive Scholarship, Truman State University TruMerit Scholarship and University Scholarship Gift Aid.

Haylee Jo Hughes, cum laude, will attend Webster University and received American Red Cross Scholarship, Lonedell R-14 Scholarship and Webster University Gorlok Gold Academic Scholarship.

Owen Lindell Johnson, cum laude, will attend Columbia College and received Columbia College 1851 Collegiate Scholarship and Columbia College Athletic Grant.

Macy Cathleen Ketcherside, cum laude, will attend Mineral Area College and received Mineral Area College National Junior College Athletic Association Volleyball Scholarship.

Koby James Klaus, summa cum laude, will attend Illinois Central College and received Illinois Central College National Junior College Athletic Association Basketball Scholarship.

Tasha Elizabeth Lopretta will attend Jefferson College and received the A Step Forward Scholarship.

Lucas LeGrand Marz, summa cum laude, will attend Missouri State University and received a Bright Flight Scholarship, Missouri State University Presidential Scholarship, Missouri State University PRIDE Marching Band Grant and Grandview Stanley Kelly - William Rod Murphy Scholarship.

Benjamin James Perkins will attend Webster University and received a Bright Flight Scholarship and Webster Gold Scholarship.

Makenzi Cheyanne Porterfield will attend Central Methodist University and received Central Methodist Grant Dance/Legacy Scholarship.

Rachel Renae Richardson, summa cum laude, will attend Southeast Missouri State University and received Southeast Missouri State University Athletic Band Scholarship, Southeast Missouri State University Residence Life Leadership Award, Southeast Missouri State University-University Scholarship and Southeast Missouri State University Visual & Performing Arts Scholarship.

Jessica Ann Robinson, magna cum laude, will attend Truman State University and received Truman State University TruMerit Scholarship and Truman State University-University Gift Aid.

Gunner Matthew Smith, magna cum laude, enlisted in the Navy.

Dru Anthony Stranz enlisted in the National Guard.

Taylor Paige Voisey, magna cum laude, will attend Maryville University and received Maryville University Barat Scholarship.

Allison Ann Wakeland, summa cum laude, will attend St. Louis College of Pharmacy and received Grandview Athletic Boosters Club Scholarship, a Bright Flight Scholarship, PEO Star Scholarship, St. Louis College of Pharmacy Cross Country and Track & Field Scholarship and St. Louis College of Pharmacy President's Scholarship.

Mitchell Owen Zoph, summa cum laude, will attend Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and received AMVETS Post 48 Ladies Auxiliary De Soto Scholarship, Elks Scholarship, Grandview High School Drama Scholarship and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Provost Scholarship.
