County transportation agencies and the organizations that depend on them are collaborating with LSC, a transportation consulting firm, in a year-long process to find ways for transportation to work more affordably and efficiently.
“We’re looking for feedback from the public about the existing transportation services and what they would like to see in transportation services in the future,” LSC transportation planner Megan McPhilimy said.
She said people who use the Jeffco Express bus system have been asked to complete an online survey and other transportation agencies have been given surveys to distribute to their riders.
Organizers hope people who depend on public transportation to do their shopping, go to medical appointments or for other reasons will attend the meetings in addition to people who “understand the value of transportation to the community.”
An Interim Report that describes existing transportation services and a survey questionnaire are available at http://lsccs.com/projects/jeffco/
