Eureka Police are trying to identify two women who allegedly stole 28 bottles of Patron tequila worth $1,080.94 from Walmart, 131 Eureka Towne Center Drive. They were seen leaving in a black Audi A3, police reported.
One of the women appeared to be between 26 and 35 years old, about 5-foot-10-inches to 6-feet tall with a slender build. She was wearing a white T-shirt and tan pants and was carrying a large brown bag, the report said.
The other woman appeared to be between 18 and 25 years old, about 5-foot-3-inches to 5-foot-9-inches tall with a large build. She was wearing a black T-shirt, light blue pants and white shoes, and she was carrying a large black bag, according to the report.
The women were seen in surveillance video at about 7:45 p.m. June 1 putting the tequila in their bags and freezer bags in a shopping cart. They allegedly left the store about three minutes later without paying for the liquor, the report said.
As of June 8, the tequila had not been recovered, and the women had not been identified, Lt. Michael Werges said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
