The Missouri State Highway Patrol talked down a woman allegedly threatening to leap from an I-55 overpass at Hwy. DD in Ste. Genevieve County about 3 miles south of the Jefferson County line this morning (March 20), Cpl. Juston Wheetley said.
He said the patrol responded around 7:30 a.m. to calls about the situation.
“She was reported as a possible jumper,” Wheetley said. “She was talked down and taken to a local hospital for evaluation.”
He said I-55 was shut down in both directions at the site of the incident for about one hour.
