A 35-year-old woman, who is believed to be homeless, was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine at the Walmart Supercenter, 2201 Michigan Ave. The woman was wanted on outstanding warrants, and police received an anonymous tip that the woman was at the store, authorities reported.
At about 11:45 p.m. Dec. 16, Arnold Police went to the store and found the woman, who allegedly had been changing price tags on store merchandise. In addition, police allegedly found her with a black sock that contained three glass smoking pipes and two plastic bags filled with a crystal substance believed to be meth, the report said.
The woman was wanted on warrants from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for felony probation violations and passing bad checks, as well as on a warrant from St. Louis County Police for petty larceny, according to the report.
The woman was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and later released to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Depending on lab results from the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia, Lt.
