A fire destroyed a home in the 11000 block of Ware Lake Road in the Ware area on Monday morning, Feb. 5. No one was in the home during the fire, and no injuries were reported, De Soto Rural Fire Chief Tom Fitzgerald said.
He said the De Soto Rural Fire Protection District got a call at 4:21 a.m. about the fire at the home, which was under renovation.
Fitzgerald said the cause of the fire is unknown.
He said firefighters remained on the scene until 7 a.m. The Hillsboro and Cedar Hill fire protection districts and the De Soto Fire Department helped with the call, and the Pacific and Big River fire protection districts handled De Soto Rural’s calls during the fire. The Valle Ambulance District responded to the scene.
