It looked like someone tried to drive through the front door at Famous Footwear, 1215 Water Tower Place, in Arnold to break into the business. While both the door and a window were heavily damaged, the vehicle didn’t break through the front of the store and nothing was stolen, Arnold Police reported.
Police were called to the store at about 9:30 a.m. Sept. 7 after the damage was discovered. The damage to the door and window was estimated at $2,500, the report said.
Capt. Rich Shular said he didn’t believe the store had to be closed to business because of the damage.
As of Sept. 18, Arnold Police were still investigating the incident, and it was not known what vehicle was used to cause the damage, Shular said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
