Arnold Police are investigating the theft of a gun and damage done to employees’ vehicles outside the Anheuser-Busch InBev Metal Container Corp. plant located at 42 Tenbrook Industrial Court. A total of seven vehicles were damaged, but the gun was the only reported stolen item, police said.
Arnold Police at about 1 a.m. June 9 were alerted by Flock license-plate reading cameras that a 2018 Alfa Romeo that was reported stolen in University City was near the Arnold Commons shopping plaza off Hwy. 141. The car had been reported stolen on June 7, the report said.
At about 2 a.m., an officer saw the Romeo with its doors open and lights on parked outside of the metal container plant. He then saw three or four men run to the car, which sped away on Arnold Tenbrook Road toward Telegraph Road when he tried to stop it, according to the report.
A gun was stolen from a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado that belongs to a 43-year-old St. Louis man, who works at the plant. The front passenger’s side window of the Silverado had been shattered, and six other vehicles had damaged windows, the report said.
The approximated value of the gun and estimated cost to repair the damaged windows was not reported.
As of June 18, the gun had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified or arrested, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the theft and damaged windows to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
