The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating vandalism at a home in the 5700 block of Dogwood Drive in High Ridge, where construction was underway. The vandalism happened between March 30 and March 31, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Someone who was working for the property owner told deputies he left the property at about 3 p.m. March 29, and when he returned at about 10 a.m. April 1 through the garage, he found the main door into the house slightly ajar. It looked like the intruder got inside the house through a window. The window was broken, and a large rock was found on the living room floor, the report said.
Drywall inside the house was damaged, and someone had “engraved” the words, “Keep Out,” on the drywall in the living room. The damage was estimated at $300, according to the report.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said April 24 that no arrests had been made. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
