Arnold Police are investigating an apparent road-rage incident that resulted in a 43-year-old Imperial woman’s windshield being damaged. The cost to repair the windshield was estimated at about $500, police reported.

The woman told police that at about 5:05 p.m. July 8, she was driving a 2007 Toyota Sienna north on Jeffco Boulevard when a man driving a black Hyundai Santa Fe tried to pull in front of her but couldn’t. After that, the man allegedly pulled behind the van she was driving and followed her onto Hwy. 141 and then onto the entrance ramp to northbound I-55, the report said.

While on the entrance ramp, the man reportedly steered the Santa Fe onto the shoulder to get around the Sienna and threw a bottle of water out the driver-side window. The bottle hit the van’s windshield, cracking it, and then the man allegedly sped away, the report said.

As of July 20, the driver of the Santa Fe had not been identified, Maj. Clinton Wooldridge said. He asks anyone with information about the incident or the SUV to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
