A home in the 4100 block of Lakewood Drive north of Valles Mines was damaged by fire on April 22. No injuries were reported, De Soto Rural Fire Chief Tom Fitzgerald said.
He said the De Soto Rural Fire Protection District got a call at 11:35 a.m. about a fire in an electrical panel that smoked up the house. A total electrical replacement will be required.
Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour, Fitzgerald said.
The Hematite, Jefferson R-7 and Big River fire protection districts and the De Soto Fire Department assisted with the fire. The Valle Ambulance District also responded to the scene.
