Investigators search a Mazda SUV that was driven this morning to Festus City Hall and Police Station on Tuesday morning by a woman who allegedly told officers she killed two of her children.

An orange 2017 Kawasaki Teryx was stolen from outside a home in the 2600 block of Tenbrook Road. The UTV was taken from a trailer that had been attached to a pickup, Arnold Police reported.

Surveillance video from the area showed UTV was stolen at about 3:15 a.m. Dec. 17. No one was seen in the video, the report said.

The Teryx, which is worth about $20,000. The trailer was unhooked from the pickup and left outside the home when the UTV was stolen, according to the report.

As of Jan. 4, the Teryx had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about theft to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
