Sheriff's Office badge, new

A car left unlocked and running was stolen at the BP gas station and convenience store, 101 Old Sugar Creek Road, in unincorporated Fenton. The incident happened about 2:55 a.m. April 17, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The victim said someone stole his 2009 Ford Focus while he was inside the store. The car was valued at $15,000, the report said.

A 25-year-old High Ridge man has been identified as a suspect, but as of April 26, the vehicle had not been recovered and no arrests had been made, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
