The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a car from outside a home in the 6000 block of Churchill Court in Imperial. The car, a white 2015 Mazda MZ3, was left unlocked with the keys inside, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The theft occurred between about 3 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. May 3. Several other vehicles on the street appeared to have been rummaged through during the same time period. However, nothing was reported stolen from them, the report said.
As of May 5, the Mazda had not been located, and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
