A U-Haul box truck was stolen from an Imperial gas station and later was recovered in Jackson, Miss. The 2015 GMC truck was stolen from Dickman’s Gas Mart, which rents trucks and trailers, between 5:15 p.m. Sept. 30 and 9:55 a.m. Oct. 1, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Grant Bissell, a Sheriff’s Office spokesman, said on Oct. 14 that he did not know when the truck was recovered.
An employee from the gas station, 2099 Old Hwy. 21, said she did not know if the truck was locked or if the keys were left inside it when it was stolen. The truck is worth about $25,000, the report said.
As of Oct. 14, no suspects had been identified, Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
