Arnold Police arrested a 35-year-old Pacific woman and a 29-year-old St. Charles woman for allegedly stealing more than $900 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s, 2150 Michigan Ave. The St. Charles woman allegedly was found with ecstasy, Arnold Police reported.
The police were called at 12:06 p.m. May 19 to the department store, where they allegedly found the two women in the parking lot with $947.93 worth of merchandise stolen from the store. In addition, police allegedly found a substance suspected to be ecstasy in the St. Charles woman’s wallet. She also was wanted on a warrant from the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Office, the report said.
The women were arrested and transported to the Police Station, where they were booked. The Pacific woman was later released, and the 29-year-old was held for the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Office, according to the report.
Arnold Police will seek charges against both women through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for stealing. Depending on the drug analysis, police also will seek a charge against the St. Charles woman for possession of an illegal substance, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
