Two guests at the Drury Inn, 3800 Hwy. 141, in Arnold woke up to a bad Christmas surprise.

A 2017 Toyota Sienna and a 2017 Toyota Tacoma were both broken into while they were parked outside the hotel, Arnold Police reported.

Authorities were called to the hotel at about 8:10 a.m. Dec. 25. The rear passenger-side vent window was broken on the Sienna, and several handmade Christmas gifts that had been left inside the minivan were missing. The gifts were valued at about $300, and the damage was estimated at $350, the report said.

The rear driver’s-side window was broken and a tarp and truck bed cover on the Tacoma were cut. In addition, several small appliances and personal items were stolen from the pickup. Those stolen items were estimated to be worth $400, and the damage to the pickup was estimated at $350, according to the report.

As of Jan. 7, none of the stolen items had been recovered and there are no suspects, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204
